Here you will find my screenwriting work.
From finished projects to ongoing developments, I hope you’ll enjoy what I have to offer!
My Main Projects.
Dinner, Diamonds, & Death
Short Film
Dinner, Diamonds, & Death, is an energetic crime short that I co-wrote with producer Sean Nwachukwu. We developed the script and amassed an amazing crew. .I was also Script Supervisor during filming- with Will Jarvis directing the film, and Marc Malilay as DP.
The story follows, an assassination, a diamond heist, and a shady deal at a restaurant- as they intertwine. We then follow the fallout of the events as our protagonist must figure out how to leave this life of crime unscathed, morally and physically.
It’s an engaging ‘Pulp Fiction’-esque story that delves into the themes of, manipulation, morality, and the abuse of power.
Budget: Around 5000-6000 pounds.

The Second Coming of Christie
Original TV Show
The Second Coming of Christie was my minor project at university. 4 Episodes have a draft completed, and I’m developing the subsequent episodes. (6 in total)
The story centres around Christie, an 18 year old girl who disappears during a snow storm. Soon after her disappearance, a strange global event occurs causing the Ozone layer to disappear at a rapid rate.
Almost a year later Christie returns to the small village, but she’s unaffected by the intense heat and lack of oxygen. Christie’s parents, Malcom and Annie (now divorced), come together to protect their daughter, if it is their daughter who has come back . . .
The show touches on the influence of the media, false prophets, and looks at religion/human belief. It’s a series full of mystery and twists, with a colourful cast of characters all navigating through this miracle.

Smile!
Short Film
A short film currently in development with Panikz Productions. I co-wrote it with Daniel Panyko (Bafta Shortlisted Producer), and I’m collaborating in its development.
We have a director, cinematographer, and some actors already attached to the project. We are looking for funding.
Log-line: A world-weary bus driver does a wish for his dying wife- and in return it might save his own life.
It’s a drama with comedic moments.

Love Smacked!
2BR02B
TV Pilot Adaptation
2BR02B is a short story by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. It’s got his iconic sarcastic/pessimistic tone and is full of interesting and humorous ideas. I adapted his concept into a 30 minute comedy pilot.
My script follows a couple in a world where people don’t age. To have babies someone must die first to keep the population in check.
We find a couple in the middle of a crisis - they have been diagnosed with triplets. Both parents go about fixing the issue in different but hilarious ways, and attempt to fight the strange system for their unborn children.
The script is farcical, almost Shakespeare-esque, and it deconstructs an outlandish but believable plant-based ‘utopia’.

Video projects.
I have created a few short student films, both are comedic-leaning and low budget, but I think they showcase my style and that I always attempt to push boundaries.
The Assignment
Short film
‘The Assignment’ was an Assignment for my BA. Very meta.
It revolves around two students making a short film for university. Both agree on horror, but one wants realistic, bloody, and dark, the other wants campy and fun. The two clash in humorous ways until things go too far.
The film utilises three different film formats, the Mocumentary, a horror short, and the found footage.
Date Night.
Zoom Short film
I made this for my graduation show during my masters.
We were restricted to Zoom because of the pandemic, but we were taught how to use formats like Zoom to the best effect.
The film is best not spoiled so I won’t say much more, all I will say is that it’s a comedy short that aims to use Zoom in unexpected ways.
Carly and the Comets (Original Children’s show)
In a collaborative module our group created “Carly and the Comets” a show that utilises music, wonder, and fun in equal measure!
The show follows Carly, an inquisitive child who travels to her dreamworld to play with her animal band “The Comets”. However, every time she arrives there is a problem to solve in order to reunite everyone ready for the final performance! The song they play relates to the problem of the day!
Writers: Hatty Hodgson, Stefano Trucco, Adam Sorrell, Izzy Chapman
Animators: Mo Awale , Lucy Crowley, Alp Yamanel, Alex Casey
‘Carly and the Comets’ Intro
Here’s a mock intro for our show.
It’s far from finished but shows the general tone and audience we were aiming for.
Theme by: Adam Manderfield.
Theme Vocals: Katie Blackwell
Test Animation
We made a test animation from one of our episodes.
It shows style and tone whilst obviously not being the final project.
Teaser Sound Design: Cuchulahn O’Byrne
The project is currently not being worked on, but if interest arises many of the original team would be happy to collaborate again.
